FIELD MEETING Take 3: Thinking Performance | Saturday, October 31, 10 am – 6 pm

At the Metropolitan Museum of Art

Conceived as a studio visit on a communal scale, this exclusive two-day fo- rum will stage performances, talks and discussions by over 30 compelling creative minds to foreground the multiplicity and critical role of performance work coming out of the context of Asia. FIELD MEETING: Thinking Performance facilitates direct interactions between artists and arts professionals to focus on creative process, conceptual exchange, experimentation and collaboration.

By spotlighting individual practices and their dynamic relationship with his- torical discourses and social and political conditions, FIELD MEETING: Thinking Performance invites broader, more nuanced interpretations of performance work and fresh understandings of performativity in artistic production at large.
