Walid Raad
Born in Lebanon and based in New York, this leading contemporary artist’s first major American survey includes 25 years of pho- tography, video & sculpture; Raad emphasiz- es the importance of performance, narrative, and storytelling in his oeuvre and dedicates himself to exploring the role of memory and narrative within discourses of conflict and the construction of histories of art in the Arab world. Scheduled lecture -performances, multiple times a week for the duration of the exhibition.
